Author Inspires Young Readers at Tinc
Excitement filled the air at Tinc Road Elementary School as students welcomed renowned children's author Chris Harris. The event, organized by Suzanne Murphy, Tinc Road’s Librarian, aimed to foster a love for reading and writing among the students.
Harris, celebrated for his witty tales, colorful characters and rhymes, spent the day interacting with students who were eager to learn from a real-life author. The day began with an engaging assembly where Harris shared anecdotes about his writing journey, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the young audience.
Throughout the assembly, students had the unique opportunity to participate and the took turns as guest readers. Teachers and school staff praised the event for its positive impact on the students. "Having Chris Harris visit our school was a truly enriching experience for our students. It not only encouraged them to engage with literature but also inspired them to dream big and pursue their passions," said Dani Marangon, Instructional Supervisor at Tinc Road.
Christina Capone, Tinc Road’s Reading Specialist, expressed gratitude for the author's visit and its impact on the students. "We are incredibly thankful to Chirs Harris for taking the time to inspire our young readers. His presence has left a lasting impression, encouraging our students to explore the vast world of literature and nurturing their love for reading," added Capone.
The day concluded with smiles, laughter, and a newfound enthusiasm for reading, as students left their classrooms with autographed books and hearts full of inspiration.
