Exciting STEAM Night Ignites Young Minds

Exciting STEAM Night Ignites Young Minds

Students at Tinc Road Elementary School had a blast exploring the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) on Friday, January 19th during a special after-school event organized by the Tinc Road PTO, Mrs. Marcinko and Mrs. Capone.

The school's gymnasium and cafeteria transformed into a hub of creativity and innovation as students, teachers, and parents gathered for an evening of hands-on learning and fun. The PTO-run STEAM Night aimed to inspire young minds and spark interest in the fascinating world of STEAM disciplines.

The event featured a variety of engaging activities and interactive stations designed to captivate the curiosity of the students. From exciting science experiments and robotics demonstrations to art projects and mathematical puzzles, there was something for everyone.

Parents actively participated alongside their children, gaining insights into the innovative educational approaches used in the classrooms. The STEAM Night not only provided a fantastic opportunity for families to bond but also highlighted the importance of integrating STEAM concepts into everyday learning.

Events like this take a team to organize! Mrs. Marcinko and Mrs. Capone led the change, but MOERT the Mt. Olive Robotics Team, Boy Scout Pact 156, volunteers from the MOHS National Honor Society, MOHS Jr Air Force and the FTC Club at MOMS with Mr. Ninewise was essential in making the event a huge success.

As the event came to a close, students left with smiles, inspired minds, and perhaps a newfound passion for the exciting world of STEAM.
