2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration

We are thrilled that you will be registering your child for the 2023-2024 school year and we can't wait for you to be part of our community of learners. To prepare for a smooth transition, please read the information below. We are optimistic that you will want to be partners with us in the education of your child and we hope to establish a cooperative, supportive home/school connection.

All eligible kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before 10/1/2023.

All eligible first grade students must be 6 years old on or before 10/1/2023.

2. COLLECT THE DOCUMENTS

Birth certificate of your child with raised seal.

Proof of residency. The residency proof MUST be in the parent's name.

FOR HOMEOWNERS: your deed, mortgage statement or property tax assessment, and one of the following: current utility bill (within 30 days), driver's license, voter registration, permits, or other expenditures demonstrating personal attachment to a particular address.

FOR RENTERS: your lease and one of the following: current utility bill (within 30 days), driver's license, voter registration, or other expenditures demonstrating personal attachment to a particular address.

School records. (Transcript, report cards, current schedule, standardized test scores, IEP or 504 if applicable)

Records to include all years of (secondary) education complete up until date of registration. If the student is from another country, we ask that the academic records be professionally translated by an accredited translation agency.

Immunization Records Documented by a physician or health clinic.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

REQUIRED VACCINATIONS

New Jersey requires that all children entering the school district in kindergarten or first grade must have an up-to-date series of immunizations. The immunizations must be documented by a physician or health clinic.

*The State of New Jersey requires that the physical examination must be completed within 365 days of school entrance. Submission of this form is mandatory to attend school.

Immunizations required by the State of New Jersey include:

Minimum doses for each vaccine for children entering kindergarten/1st grade
DTap	A total of 4 doses with one of these doses on or after the 4th birthday OR any 5 doses.
Polio	A total of 3 doses with one of these doses given on or after the 4th birthday OR any 4 doses.
MMR	Measles: 2 doses of the Measles vaccine. First dose on/after 1st birthday. Mumps: 1 dose of the measles vaccine needed. Rubella: 1 dose of the Rubella vaccine needed
Varicella	(Chicken Pox) 1 dose on or after first birthday. OR Laboratory evidence of immunity, physician's statement or a parental statement of previous varicella disease is acceptable.
Hepatitis B	3 doses of Hepatitis vaccine are needed.
